Bent Over Lateral Raise Exercise Instructions

Rear Delt Lateral Raises

Purpose of Exercise: To develop the rear head of the deltoids.

Execution of Exercise: Take hold of a pair of dumbbells, bend knees slightly and bend over through hips with back flat, parallel to the floor. Allow the dumbbells to hang down, Raise upper arms to sides until elbows are shoulder height. Maintain upper arms perpendicular to torso and a fixed elbow position (10° to 30° angle). Lower slowly under control and repeat.

Important Points: Do this exercise strict and endeavour not to cheat. Your arms should not move forward or backwards during the exercise. Focus on using the power of your rear shoulders to raise the weight. You can also do bent over cable lateral raises.
