Easy Bar Curl Exercise Instructions

Standing EZ Bar Curls

Purpose of Exercise: To develop the biceps. If you are strict it also places stress on your abs.

Execution of Exercise: Hold an EZ Curl Bar, Standard or Olympic at arms length. Bend your knees slightly and tilt your pelvis forward and keep you glutes tight, in this strict position curl the bar up focusing on using the strength of your biceps, pause briefly at the top and squeeze your biceps hard, lower the bar to the starting position and repeat.

Important Points: Do not move the bar up and down in a jerky or uncontrolled manner. It is very easy to rock your body. To counteract this get a training partner to place their hands on your back during this exercise so that you cannot rock or lean back. This exercise can also be done with dumbbells.
